A woman reported to police a man’s past & likely further violent actions toward children & was recorded as ‘vexatious’. When the man then assaulted a child the first suspect was the mother. Reporting on the child’s death focused on two villains: child protection services & the mother.

It’s so much easier to blame a woman for the actions of a violent man. ‘Look what she made him do’, ‘she could have prevented it’, etc etc.

Should be shocking. Is too familiar.

Mason Lee was punched so hard his bowel ruptured. New evidence reveals police ignored repeated warnings about toddler’s killer

Exclusive: Months before the boy’s slow and agonising death, a woman told police that William O’Sullivan had threatened to kill another child in his care. They branded her allegations ‘vexatious’

@26pglt 'Vexatious' sums up the whole attitude of the police. This percolates down from the top. Arseholes in uniform.😡
