@rbreich I agree with the Declaration of Independence. Too bad it is not law (many people, incorrectly, believe that it is.)

I've begun a new website - it is still extremely skeletal - to examine the issue of a post trump-era tribunal to redress and punish wrongs, deter future ill conduct, claw-back wrongly taken wealth and privilege, compensate those who have been injured, and so forth.

Given our pusillanimous Congress and our biased, if not corrupt, SCOTUS, such redress may have to done by means that might seem beyond our Constitution, but I believe are not.

They thought the list of grievances against King George were criticisms of Trump. I mean, if the shoe fits....

NPR's Declaration Of Independence Tweets Anger Some Trump Supporters

National Public Radio marked the Fourth of July by tweeting the entire Declaration of Independence, but it seems some Twitter users didn't recognize what they were reading.

@rbreich #AltText "A Prince, whose character
is thus marked by every act
which may define a Tyrant,
is unfit to be the ruler of a
free people."
-The Declaration of
Independence
@rbreich doesn't matter if Congress won't do anything about it
@rbreich And he's not even close to a Prince.

@rbreich

We are not too far off from the annual NPR public reading of the declaration of independence.

Maybe we should all be practicing and do public readings on the fourth. There are some sections that don’t read well anymore because of the conflict between the colonies and the First Nations, but there’s a lot of rich material in it that is directly applicable

@rbreich Interestingly, many of the actions for which George was blamed were in fact enacted and supported by Parliament.
