Musk has now hoarded $1 Trillion—making him the greediest hoarder on all Earth. To put that obnoxious amount of hoarding in perspective:
•1M seconds from now is in 11 days
•1B seconds from now is in 32 years
•1T seconds from now is in 32,000 years

This isn’t “hard work.” It’s greed and exploitation. Tax billionaires & trillionaires out of existence. Protect working people. Save our society.

@QasimRashid

the math: 1000000/60/60/24*1000/365

@QasimRashid And the way he did it is especially exploitative and dishonest.

@nandor @QasimRashid thanks, that was a good read

@QasimRashid Not just that, but he expects his investments to appreciate over time.

Let's assume he expects a paltry 5%/year. 5% of $1 Trillion is $50 billion.

$50 billion dollars.

In one year.

For one guy.

And thanks to compound interest, next year, he'll expect more ($52.5 billion).

Imagine what else could be done with that amount of money. But no. Instead, we have to shove it in his pockets.

@ewhac @QasimRashid @jcriecke oh I can imagine what else could be done
@QasimRashid What to do when all the people in a position to implement tax strategies are owned by the people with the trillion dollars?

@QasimRashid

They are in a prison of their own making. They are not free to live any kind of genuine life because if they ever put themselves amongst real people they'd be killed. They have to hide amongst themselves and in their compounds with guards.

@QasimRashid another perspective: if I save ten thousand dollars a day, every day - which for most people would be quite ambitious - then in 100 years I will have saved about 365 million dollars; it will take me over 273 years to save a billion, and there is literally no perspective that makes a trillion for an individual understandable.
@QasimRashid The comparison people should be using is how many national governments he can buy with this money. He understands that by determining government policy he determines the fate of the people who live under those governments. In his megalomania that means the entire population of the Earth, and he won’t stop until every human being on the planet lives as he wishes.
@QasimRashid This is also a guy who has killed hundreds of thousands of starving children on like his first day. Before stuffing a copy of the Social Security Database down his pants so he could look a little more manly. He's a true Super Villain, and it's discount Lex luthor on Speical K.
@QasimRashid but if he was handed an invoice for $1trillion, cash only, due tomorrow, could he pay it on time?
@QasimRashid Using IMF numbers his net worth now exceeds the GDP of each of 170 of the 191 countries on the planet. Only the top 19 economies have a larger GDP than his paper net worth. It is absolutely a system failure to allow a person to accumulate that much money and power.

@QasimRashid

He now has a lien on a significant fraction of whatever resources are left on this planet. Of its future. If we let them.

@QasimRashid I’ve been using 90 million a day for 30 years and still have money left over

@QasimRashid

Every dollar of a billionaire was made my someone else, not the billionaire.

A billionaire is a fascist bundle of crimes against humanity.

@QasimRashid

Someone suggested I change taken to hoarded. Either way

@QasimRashid
That's a good framing. Instead of referring to these people as "billionaires" or "the richest", we should normalize calling them "the greediest".
@QasimRashid as a celebration for him I’ll gift him a free shallow grave.
