The Jedi make no biological sense: their power is enabled by a genetic trait, but they are prohibited from taking a reproductive partner: surely they would die out within a couple of generations, even if there was random genetic evolutionary mutation which meant some non-Jedi parents had children with Jedi traits?

At the very least, they would be heavily outnumbered by the Sith, who have no such prohibition.

The Sith may be slightly encumbered by the rule of two, but that only means there would be millions of Sith pairs throughout the galaxy, hiding from other Sith pairs while plotting to take over once the Jedi had died out.

Also, if parents thought their children had Jedi traits, they would probably hide them from the Jedi, as they want to steal their children away as soon as possible, lest they be tainted with love. #starwars #jedi #Sith
