I accidentally got ahead of myself last night! I checked into #Bangtansubs #YouTube planning to watch some Bangtan Bombs. But landed straight on 2014 1st anniversary with "BTS Kkul ( Honey) FM"

So far in 5 years army I'd not seen any Honey FM ( had heard of it)

What a delight, esp the adverts! It was a great way to catch up on their first year. I'm going to try to look through the 2014 archives while at work.

It was another busy year. With Suga appendicitis at the end of 2013, they spent 2014 here & there, end of skool trilogy, did American Hustle Life, Dark & Wild, The Red Bullet Tour started. Not sure when there was time to write, record, and make MV?

They also grew up.

Without reading a year review. 2016 was Wings Album, BST MV, and also Jhope Boy Meets Evil MV.

Of course BST was on the list of MV we first watched in 2021. Now I've read Demian book, studied HYYH, the stories, it all makes sense. But in 2021 I thought " what on earth is going on, why is there an organ, who is playing it?"

This is the year things "blew up" for BTS

In fact, they beat so many records/ won so many awards, that Adele Roberts from BBC Radio One flew from London to Seoul to interview them ( post DNA)

It was in 2021 one of the first interviews I watched. I just watched it again and cried. #mad

At the start of the year You Never Walk Alone was released.

When in 2021 I started looking at BTS discography I was very confused by all this!

On reflection, Wings got all the story ( Demian) and wise thoughts. YNWA got some of the most stunning photos and the greatness of Outro:Wings. A couple of years ago I tried to defend having different albums with more or less same songs on, but I was lying, I can't really defend, luckily I got them 2nd hand.

Their year was truly nonstop, and somehow they managed to write & record Love Yourself: Her - moving from Hesse to Jung. This broke even more records.

Sadly to my mind, it also had the worst outfits ever but they aren't too bad in this pic. ( But RM, seriously?)

Amongst my notes is Rap Monster became RM and they did Police Station Run BTS, and the Smeraldo Blog started. Try saying all that to a civilian and see what they say? (3)

This year saw the release of 3 albums that all worked their way into my brain in 2021. Which now, looking back, was only THREE years after their release, but seemed like 'The Past'. So many of these songs are in my faves list, it would be impossible to pick one moment.

I want to nominate all of BE, although I wasn't aware it was being made, while we were struggling with lockdown life, esp the interviews on YouTube (which I didn't see til 2021)

BE album also produced this beautiful photo. I've said that before. Every time I say it, it takes me ages to find it. This photo was a key part of my early 2021.

But as I was getting ready for work today I realised I don't listen to BE much, as it has painful not healing memories

( It was literally being made at the time my Dad died and UK second lockdown meant I couldn't see my Mum after the funeral - for like 8 months. Very Grey 🦏 )

2021 was when I got my ARMY training. Stuck at home, daughter and I watched BTS over lunchtimes, until by April she wore me down. Or was it the Run BTS quiz episode where JKs Mum says love you Jimin over the phone? No, I know it was the LY concert in the Bang Bang Con 21 day.

But I only just discovered there are live performances - did they happen while I was still asleep? I remember bits of The Magic Shop ( making tea)

All of 2021 was a BTS year, because even as our lives started to get back to normal, they weren't the old normal, and BTS stayed there, through getting up at 5am on a day off for Butter & PTD MV releases, watching them on Global Citizen Live, In The Soop, through to them going to LA, Super Tuna. Normal?

My friends thought I had gone mad. I even bought purple pyjamas and then a brown hooded fur coat when we were clothes shopping in the December 🤣
