Reminder to self: my garden Cowhorn peppers are _significantly_ spicier than basically anything at the grocery besides habañero peppers and some serranos, and that my lungs will react accordingly when I dump them into a hot pan
Vaguelated, the Santa Fe Grande varietal of #peppers are _lovely_ if you want something the size of a large jalapeño, generally sliiiightly spicier than one (at least domestic US ones), and with a much sweeter fruitiness to them closer to a classic red bell pepper. They straddle that "spicy-sweet" territory with perfection, and one (or two?) diced up into the eggs we had yesterday were genuinely outstanding. Like, I knew they'd be good but they were WAY better than I thought they'd be.
