[P] I'm very pleased to discover the idiom variant of 'feed two birds with one scone,' because I always strongly disliked the original. Why are we trying to kill birds? Why are we doing it in such an unethical, painful, and inefficient way? Why are we aiming to double our immoral idiocy? This doesn't sound nearly as intelligent as the idiom wants to suggest—to the contrary, it brings to mind an angry, knuckle-dragging caveman lobbing rocks.
