After having had iPhones as work phones for the better part of the past 10 years, I shudder at faceID being suggested as a requirement to log in to an eID.
My iPhones have been unable to recognize me when I:
* had a stye in my eye
* had extracted a wisdom tooth
* got new glasses
* did my makeup differently
* put in an invisalign tray (they're what, 0.2mm thick?)

So when you see face matching as an eID requirement, imagine that you can't pay a bill because of a stye.
