I'm not sure where you are sourcing your information but elderly folk like myself, especially women and BIPOC have never trusted the police, additionally you seem to think think is unique to the UK, well here's a news flash for you,
It's a global problem.

Your wilful lack of awareness is why you have an image problem.

@TrueNorthSpice @PoliceStateUK @HarriettMB 100% agree. Even the headline of the article is nonsense. People who've been disappeared by their governments over the last 50-60 years in particular would take issue with it, as well as literally anyone who's been on a protest since before I was born.

Not only protests or disappeared, "Walking while Black" is a real problem, plus, every week there are articles about male cops abusing females.
And try working in a women's shelter...the stories told about police doing their best to avoid helping an abused women are far too many!
