* Research on OSM *
An interesting article on quality issues related to #Taskingmanager #OSM microtasks, which analyze distortions at task boundaries and between tasks caused by individual mapping practices. These are two well-known issues, now quantified here.
I am less convinced by other findings or by some of the proposed strategies for resolving these issues. I will write a blog post about this soon.
* OSM-based services *
Urbanistmap.org, a participatory map of urban development projects around the world, which uses data from #OSM. It can also display images of projects uploaded by users. Too bad: only a small portion of projects under construction are in OSM, and generally the information is added by #OpenStreetMap contributors with no connection to these projects, rather than by the urban planners in charge, who could add much more information.
