I have a package that shipped 6/2 from California. Fedex still says it is scheduled for delivery here in Missouri on 6/6. It took three days to leave California. On day four (today!) it made it to Arizona. I very seriously doubt it will show up tomorrow. But points to them -I guess- for their optimism.

Look, I’m tired of AI, and I am deeply skeptic of it.

But this is the one of very few usecases [pattern recognition] where it really excels. Why haven’t they deployed intelligent updates? Or even basic logic to infer delays and proactively message.

This package arrived. Not by a Union driver (they don't have 'em) and not by an overworked outsourced independent company's driver. But by gig worker. Dude in a Camry.

The "Gigification" of this economy is nuts and yet another thing chipping away at the middle class while only benefiting big corporations.
