it conveys the best feelings to them
#flowers #photography

@myfotoday I think this photo is very pretty!

I like how flowers and greenery are distributed. Not quite sure why. Maybe it is similar to blue noise. Or maybe due to most flowers concentrated in curved mirrored S of sorts. Or maybe 'cause there are lots of yellow flowers in said mirrored S, that remind me of Yellow Brick Road (from The Wizard of Oz).

The depth of field I do enjoy here, too ~ to me it feels not too shallow nor too strong. Just right for the scale of photo.

I like how the focus is on 3 yellow flowers near the center! (technically, focus point seem a bit closer, but they are what my gaze is naturally drawn to and are not much out of focus) They do look like a bit of a stand out feature of this field, above the rest. Literally. =p

The small puffy light green ends of stems (forming flowers? not sure.) that are a bit lower the trio are nice to see, I like 'em as photo's details.

The photo overall have an even bright lighting and pleasant semi-soft colors, with darker greenery and deep shadows in few places providing nice contrast.

The alt text I do appreciate, too! Another glance into your perception. It also told me what flowers these are; I like their scientific name (as per Wikipedia) - Lantana montevidensis (sounds like a cool magic spell, lol).

It also worth mentioning that somehow 'till reading alt text I did not notice the white flowers. Yes, there are not many and out of focus, yet still... it is peculiar how fairly large feature I do not notice despite looking closely. Perhaps I looked at picture overall and some small details, missing on medium details.

Also. The comment "it conveys the best feelings to them" feels very heartwarming. =)

Hm. I wonder if these words have interpretation. Like "it (this photo) conveys the best feelings to them (viewers)" or "it (The Sun) conveys the best feelings (warmth, sunlight) to them (flowers)" or if these are just some nice appropriate words with no deeper meaning intended by the author.

@iknowpony I enjoy reading your detailed analysis, and once again I’m pleasantly surprised :) If I analyzed a scene that thoroughly before taking a picture, I definitely wouldn’t have taken a single shot :))) This photograph was taken in September 2007 in Turkey. Of course I don’t remember all the circumstances of the shot, but I know what triggered me — an interesting distribution of flowers created by nature that evoked intriguing feelings, so I couldn’t pass by such a rich still life.
@iknowpony As for my comments on the photos, it’s better to just ignore them, because their meaning isn’t mandatory to understand — just look at the pictures :) Thank you very much for your detailed comment!
