Over on @rartsy I wrote 5788 characters on escaping capitalism. TL;DR = Transcending money centrism seems impossible now. Incremental movement towards that goal is possible through policies that promote greater economic equity. Establishing the right to basic living standards for all {food, shelter, healthcare, minimum income} are political fights worth having & may be winnable. Such policies are huge steps away from valuing money over people.

There is a Pollyanna nature to my humanism. When I get in touch with my core belief in universal human love & respect everything good seems possible. Walking away from wars. Helping each other. Ending suffering. Brainstorming solutions to global problems. All feels possible with the only barrier being the people who don't believe that universal human love & respect are possible. And there are a lot of them. Lack of faith in humanity prevents progress.
