Welcome to the worldwide democratic social movement.
It's hard to build an organization that universally respects individuality from scratch. Someone is writing these words, for instance. And it's someone who does not wish to speak for others. To grow we propose 2 methods, slow and quick. Individual adoption is slow. All statements are open to revision by any member at any time, with the goal of powerful declarations of shared values. And eventually work that flows from these values. Fortunately we are not alone. Like-minded organizations exist now that contain many members and that perform beneficial pro-humanist actions. The history of humanity offers unlimited inspiration. We will assemble a network of associates & a library of declarations. These enable growth at a quick pace alongside the slow movement of individual commitment.
We believe in representation with accountability.

An important avenue of discussion is whether the world needs another organization, another "layer of bureaucracy" it could be seen as. Either it's a group so arrogant and foolish as to attempt to represent everyone or it's a guaranteed center of corruption. The UN exists and should be seen as a partner; however that organization is intentionally flawed, founded on biased power imbalances. Just as many existing governments contain much that is positive on top of intrinsic fatal flaws. The worldwide democratic social movement is an attempt to start anew, to take no steps without universal agreement. We understand that no statement and no organization will ever represent unanimous agreement of every human. It's our intent to achieve the highest possible buy-in from people throughout the world. When we state that all humans are equal in rights and dignity, we understand that there will be some humans who do not agree. Those who disagree cannot be considered members of our movement. Nevertheless our beliefs extend to their rights and dignity too. Humans have the right to their own beliefs yet do not have any right to oppress. It is our hope to build a movement large enough in number to effect significant global progress and to eclipse oppressive factions.
For now this movement is pure fantasy. It can be talked about without the stress of meaning. Then some day, bam, billions of earthlings decide that we do want to promote universal values & rights; & suddenly this pretend project becomes real. π

Brainstorming I dream of writing a granular description of transforming a world like ours into one that's just and humane. I believe that we who center our values in caring must acknowledge that it's not possible to force change. There's lots of criticism of weakness ("kumbaya") levied at many liberals & the further left gets accused of militance. I try to imagine a fantasy of freedom. Example: would it be possible for multiple systems to coexist side by side? A gradual transition away from+ 1/
