Reason 1001 to stop supporting and recommending Proton

tired of having to explain how these people are not our friends, if they were motivated by the individual security/privacy of their users they would do so many things differently, they are corpo washing floss with their proprietary backends

@liaizon bad politicals aside i feel like the technical takedowns I see of them still asume some good faith of concept behind the project. instead of just saying it literally doesnt do anything! its just email!!! which only is theoretically encrypted when you email another person using the same service. which no one does.
@liaizon yeah, my subscription ends sometime this fall, I'm gonna move someplace else. Or, figure out selfhosting. A nice little summer project.
