Split, ya bastard! 2026 edition.

I wonder if the little Scheppach/Güde electrohydraulic splitter could handle these or just bend itself in half?

@yngmar It’s worth trying. They usually don’t fall apart as fast as you’d expect. However, the splitters designed for a tractor's three-point hitch and powered by the PTO are usually the more heavy-duty ones.

@111 Hmm, which type, I've only seen self built cone splitters for PTO. Hydraulic pump on the tractor isn't very big.

Maybe external pump powered by PTO?

@yngmar Yeah, that's how it usually works. And if you've got a hydraulic cylinder over a meter long, you're obviously the winner.

@111 Hmm, only need 50 cm really, that's what fits our heaters :)

But only old cylinder I found is too short (and broken). 🤷

@yngmar The capacity of our kitchen stove ends at 27 cm. :-/
