When Black Bears are in the vicinity, I bring the bird feeders in, so this doesn't happen.

Last couple of nights I got lazy and didn't bring them in and the bears took advantage.

I had to shoo them off three times last night. The third time I had to get loud because the biggest one just sat and stared at me while she was eating the sunflower seeds.

But I will not forget to bring them in before dark now.
