My e-bicycle has Schwalbe Marathon Plus tires during summer and Schwalbe Winter Plus (with spikes) for the icy/snowy months. Yes, they are expensive. But their puncture guard layers really do work as advertised. So if you ride mostly on paved roads with a city bike and want to worry less and can afford them, get them. Winter tires only needed when your roads look like mine ;)
No, I don’t get paid for posting this. I bought these tires myself after at least 5 incidents with flat tires caused by shards of glass on the bike lane. With the Schwalbe tires those incidents have been reduced to zero over the past two years.

@jwildeboer downsides: rotational mass and smoothness of ride. The contact surface is more than 0.5cm thicker than a regular tire. Doesn't flex over small objects as easy as a puncture prone tire.
