One of the long-standing limitations of Slackware ARM on the Raspberry Pi was that the SD card remained part of the boot process, even when the OS was installed elsewhere.

Following requests from the community, I’ve implemented support for installing Slackware entirely onto external storage such as SSDs and NVMe devices.

In this video, I walk through the installation process and boot Slackware directly from external storage.
