CALIFORNIA VOTERS:

Today’s the LAST DAY to vote in the midterm elections! You can still fill out your ballot or visit a polling place if you haven’t yet.

If you don’t know who to choose, there are many great voter guides that help lay out their positions and endorsements!

Be sure to drop it in a ballot box or at a polling location — postmarked dates on US Mail are no longer considered proof it can be accepted in time.

@GoodAaron mild correction, it's that the change to postmarking policy means unless you take it to the postal counter to be postmarked while you watch, they can't guarantee when it'll be postmarked from normal drop off and it could take up to a week. (This policy change was clearly done by the trump admin to undercut postal voting.)

The drop boxes and polling places are the easier solution, especially since most postal counters close at like 4 or 5pm.

@USSJoshuaNorton Fair point!
@GoodAaron In the end, effectively the same actions needed, but the change has fallout outside of elections, which is why I wanted to get the reasons behind it out there! Thank you for helping make sure people get their ballots in with the best chance of being counted. 🖖 💚
