If this is science, count me in.

Fun things to remember?

Flat bottom glass is helpful to measure out alcohol on the scale.

Water conversion ml to grams is 1:1, alcohol demonstrably is not.

New prismacolor markers measure 17 grams from the store.

A dead dry marker weighs 14g.

15g marker works with a little dryness visible.

I have way more alcohol than I’ll ever need to refill this set of dry ones.

The tap plastic squeeze bottle (box labeled hypo 49 from gaunt industries) is perfect for applying to the fine marker end.

I didn’t realize I had some old markers that actually end in a micron style barrel. I refilled those from the chisel tip side.

Can just fill any marker weighing less than 15g, with some confidence.

A little bit, I wish I had saved my ‘cocaine’ scale (a very precise scale up to 100g from American science and surplus center) to better understand the weight of the different markers.

In the end it doesn’t matter - 15g or less, refill.

Wait it turns out I forgot to give the scale away and it was in the garage all this time.

I introduce to you, the budget triton t2 pocket scale.

I only say cocaine scale because I’m not sure who needs a pocket scale that measures num of 1/8 ounces with 3 degrees of precision

And it’s not for food because measuring things in 100g chunks is annoying

@epu
Try pure capsaicin ^_^J

(Or better: don't)

@epu I have one! Not for cocaine, I used to build balsa RC airplanes
@epu You said "cocaine scale" and I immediately understood what you meant and filed it away as the obviously correct name for this type of tool
@epu I have one, used for brewing, hops, and water salts needed pretty small amounts to correct water chem. I call it my 'gram' scale... :shifty eyes:
@m750 ok, it makes sense when you need the precision!
