Watching America march head-long into a #dictatorship has been interesting viewing for outsiders.

I, for one, will never understand why the entire country hasn't been out on the streets, day in, day out, until the #TrumpDictatorship was brought down.

No, not those quarterly Saturday afternoon strolls in the park.

I mean bringing the country to a standstill.

Instead, it appears from here that they're waiting for someone or something to rescue them.

I'll never understand it.

@kaffando Have you been there? They think differently. Hard to explain but there's this weird attitude that tolerates all sorts of contradictions as part of normal everyday life. 'Freedom' (sic) to do or be anything you like is celebrated, which leaves very little room for collective action or even a social conscience. It's insidious.
@sister_ratched @kaffando and one does not criticise the president. Just not. No matter how many children he raped, no matter how many families go hungry, no matter how many people he disappeared, no matter how openly corrupt he is, they do not criticise the president.
@PetraPanda @kaffando They deserve him.
@sister_ratched @kaffando
Problem with that is that the rest of the world didn't vote for him, but he's fucking everyone over regardless.
Comparatively, we're well off. Imagine living in an overcrowded slum in SE Asia, Brazil, the DRC, Somalia... etc. let alone Iran, Palestine, Venezuela, Cuba...
He just about fucked everyone over
@PetraPanda @kaffando Yes, pretty bad. What can we do? Nothing other than cut ourselves from the alliance and find other allies.
@sister_ratched @kaffando
That would be a great start.
But pliberrubio and albanetrump will have a different approach, involving rimming and asking for guidance from the predators.
