If Democrats announce clearly that there will be trials for those committing crimes against humanity---where pardons don't count, where the statute of limitations doesn't count---it might mitigate the damage done during what remains of the Trump regime.
It's not a subject for later, we have to talk about tribunals now.
We need all the "look forward not back" Democrats to self-identify now so we can vote for their primary opponents.
It's realistic to think that the current members of the DNC are not going to change their minds. I don't care. We don't need them to change their minds.
What we need is to replace them, and voting in the primary is the means to that end. Postponing the work won't get it done. And "don't vote, it can't make a difference" is the message of the fascists.
When we have ranked choice voting, there will be room for minor parties. In the near term, we don't have ranked choice voting, and the Democratic Party is the only pro-democracy party that can win.
In a first-past-the-post electoral system, with fascists on the ballot, voting for a minor party is objectively pro-fascist.
This argument is now indistinguishable from the propaganda we get from Putin's anti-democracy trolls.
