lol, I'm a middle aged Millennial and I barely have any of these things. The only property I'll own will come after my parents die.
A Pension? I think I've probably paid about two years into a company pension, ever....

The Economy hasn't changed since the turn of this century, don't start pretending you're concerned about it now lads, people didn't buy it in the 00s and they aren't buying it now

Ivory tower fuckwits 😑

Oh, I'll be on the edge of my seat waiting for the blessing from in high....Tony Blair's leftovers are going to sort things out everyone! /s

I remember when a load of Boomer racists were proselytizing that they were doing Brexit "for the Kids", like they gave a shit about anyone but themselves....

The Manosphere creates a generation of pathetic and useless males who creep everyone out. Great stuff, blame it all on 'Wokeness' and carry on so we end up like the United States....they seem so happy and content! /s

You can see why the Fash want Women 'barefoot and pregnant', they're being shown up by more competent and grown-up women and their entitlement is hurt.

Once again for those at the back (wanking into flags) , "IMMIGRATION ISN'T CAUSING YOUTH UNEMPLOYMENT"

If the experience at my wife's work is common, then the positions are out there, it's just that nobody has bothered to train the current generation of new workers how to work.
Case in point, my wife has a new assistant who they had hoped would follow in her footsteps of starting off on reception and then working her way quickly into a professional role and her employers paid for her professional accreditation.
The new girl has all the same opportunities but has pissed it all away 1/2
2/2
She calls in sick most weeks with very weak excuses, one time she had her phone stolen and then took the next day off to sit in and wait for the replacement, just took it off without asking. She lies, she's untrustworthy, she shows no interesting in getting professional training even though that was part of the career path.
Foreign born employees are rarely as shit as the British ones, the entitlement on this island is off the scale.
But you can't say that of course, the Brits will cry...

When you have Tech Bros smugly lecturing the new generation of workers that their jobs will be replaced by AI so what's the fucking point, is it any wonder they've given up?

Zoomers see Millennials playing this game as losers, but we've no fucking choice or we're homeless. At least try to consider those of us who have to deal with the real world and don't be a burden.

@Lazarou

I had similar problems with some (and I emphasise, only *some*) young(er) colleagues, and a friend of mine introduced me to the term 'learned helplessness' which I found rather useful; it may, or may not be the case here too - by being called useless snowflakes who cannot commit, they have become what other accused them of when an opportunity does present itself.

@ChrisMayLA6 yes, exactly that! Total lack of initiative, quite chilling in a way.
What else would they be 'helpless' over? 😬

@Lazarou

attention to detail & deadlines, in my experience....

@Lazarou
My youngest daughter is a Canadian working in the UK. Her employer is pregnant and about to go on maternity leave. She’s made my daughter the manager because she said she’s the best of the group to keep things in line.
@Pinchy63 there's something about being an Immigrant which makes you try much harder than the entitled locals I feel...
@Lazarou In Japan, many young people quit their jobs shortly after being hired, which has become a social problem.
@kotaro do they just give up and quit because it's hard like they do here?

@Lazarou I just increasingly find myself wondering WTF happened to the WTO?

They were supposed to be the key to a great Brexit, but I've not heard a breath from or about them since...

@thechildofroth lol, I remember all those Brexit Blowhard talking about the WTO like it would be some replacement for the EU and it's protections....well look how that turned out! Exactly as we had predicted 10 years ago.
@Lazarou
Both my kids are millennials. My youngest was telling me that a woman she went to school with just bought a house. The way she described it was like the person had won the lottery. I feel for the kids these days.

@Pinchy63 and we're not even kids, we're grey haired adults who never got on the property ladder yet are being lectured by people who have had it easy their whole lives and think everyone else is the same.

Things changed in the 80s, the social contract was ripped up and here we are now, generations later and all in misery.
