Waiting for the night

As I walk on this empty beach by the sea

All alone

Middle of the night

Under the pale moon

Listening to the wind and waves

Singing their ancient melody

I hold onto a wish in my heart

I can’t help it

My heart just don’t want let go

Of a sweet dream

That always feels more than just a dream

 Wanting it to come true

As I walk under these stars

On this long dark beach

Making another wish from the star

Holding onto a memory of a dream

Like it is a picture I could hold

That won’t leave me alone

So here I am waiting for the night

When you are here

And I’m finally in your arms

Being embraced by your long arms

Safe and loved

 In way only true love can feel

Instead walking alone on this beach

It would be us together walking hand in hand

Kissing underneath shooting stars

No need for wishes to come true

Because you here there is no need to wish for more

My heart’s dream is already done
