I'm participating in this year's TOWNSQUEER, a games bundle and zine to help support https://gamedev.lgbt releasing this Friday!

I couldn't get a new game done so I've added a couple old (free) games instead. Borderline: Bow Shock Part 1 is a sci-fi Bitsy RPG with turn based battles and The Necrotics: Troy is a short zombie horror interactive fiction game set in the 80s. Both games proudly have gay or bi characters! 🌈

I actually finished Borderline: Bow Shock Part 2 in Bitsy, but I wasn't really happy with it. I'm hoping to finish/remake it some day.

"Bow Shock" is a term for a shock wave that forms in front of an object moving through space. In the story, Malach gets "shocked" out of his depression when he learns Dr. Flagstone is in trouble, and again with what happens at the end of Part 1. It's probably also a commentary on how life never really waits for you to feel better.

Another thing I doubt anyone picked up on: a lot of the names in Borderline are based on colors. Malach is short for "malachite" and the reason for the game's green color. Eigengrau, Carbon, and Grease are shades of black and why the colors change to gray in one scene.

The subtitle "Troy" on the The Necrotics: Troy was inspired by the PS2 survival horror game Siren which names chapters after characters (and times). The plan was to tell the story from different characters' points of view.

I added the "Echidna" arc name to the graphic since I hope to continue the story in different places. It refers to a character that hasn't been introduced yet.
