A cool thing we did during our long weekend trip: charging our car on the EV chargers at Greenbank Farm. The historical farm has a Community Solar array, which was built in partnership between Whidbey Island residents, business and the Port of Coupeville.

Not sure if the panels directly supply power to the chargers, but it's a possibility.

The farm has a nice system of trails, which we enjoyed while the car charged.

@marsiposa I love when it works out to pair EV charging with exploring a new place!

@scott yes!

We stopped there because the chargers in the nearby town were being repaired. We didn't know what to expect and it was a pleasant surprise. Very nice short hike and some beautiful demonstration gardens.

@marsiposa I'm in the process of planning my first proper EV road trip and… probably overthinking it, but I am bookmarking the chargers that seem to be near points of interest. So if it's between two different chargers, hopefully I choose the one that's not just in a big box store parking lot, but near the neat coffee shop or waterfall. (Does that even exist? I'm just dreaming here.) 😁
@scott I was going to be all smug and point out that here in WA we do have a charger by a waterfall, but it's currently not functional 🥲
