Follow-up to my earlier post about #NewJersey Senator #AndyKim, who was pepper-sprayed by #ICE at the #DelaneyHall Detention Center in Newark on Monday.

This jaw-dropping photo shared with me shows the moment before ICE actually pepper-sprayed Kim, when he was trying to bring the temperature down. One for the ages.

I'm going call his office again right now. How lucky are we in NJ to have such representation?

Also, #fuckICE.

@PamelaBarroway A friend of mine was there and said that the pepper spray wafted quite a distance…she was nowhere near Kim (a national treasure, he) and her eyes were burning. ICE’s claim in turning Sherrill away was that Delaney Hall is a federal facility and she is not a federal official 😖. My friend was impressed with both Kim and Sherrill; she said they were both there for a long time.

@JaneinNJ Kim is indeed a g-d national treasure. Sherrill is great too -- I feel so vindicated by all those hours of canvassing I did last fall. The reasoning for not letting her into Delaney Hall may be "accurate" but it is also complete BS.

I was given a list of organizations to donate to in order to support people detained at Delaney and / or impacted by ICE and I'm going to donate to help.
