You have to have morality to see inhumanity. You have to have balls to do something about it!

Give Luigi a pass and an invitation to lunch with Trump at the WH!

πŸ‘ πŸ‘ πŸ‘ πŸ‘

@Waldorf
I'm surprised Trump hasn't invited him into his cabinet, frankly.

@VeroniqueB99

@Waldorf
(That sounds like a euphemism, and not in a good way.)

@VeroniqueB99

@SoftwareTheron @Waldorf @VeroniqueB99
I was about to quote Voltaire, but your take makes him doubly appropriate. I can't remember the CEO's name, but he's spiritually a descendent of Admiral John Byng, whose death was "pour encourager les autres".
@WellsiteGeo @SoftwareTheron @VeroniqueB99 I've always thought that putting Trump in prison would be sufficient punishment to discourage others from similar criminality. Your suggestion that Byng's fate had that purpose ... I'd be satisfied with that for Trump!
@Waldorf 🀣 πŸ‘ whut?! Do you hate Luigi or what?!😱
@VeroniqueB99 NO Luigi is my hero! Given his penchant to correct moral injustice and the gonads to do so, I don't think Trump would get past one or two fries.
@Waldorf 🀣 πŸ‘ good point...🀣 but poor guy! He did his part.... he shouldn't be forced too meet more evil!
@VeroniqueB99 It has to do with skill! Luigi got his .. and I'd let him stay at my house until the heat cooled down and the celebrations were over!
@Waldorf Oh I was with him actually... all day and all night. I will testify under oath too! 🀣

"Can you name a person saved by Luigi Mangione?"
Apparently, yes.

24 hour Luigi Mangion. @welov... 13h
My fiancee: The tumor in her brain would be virtually impossible for us to pay for but the timing of the murder caused so many insurance companies to panic and briefly accept claims they normally would have fought. She was in blinding and immeasurable pain, and today she's fine.

@VeroniqueB99

I read this message as saying that if you destroy a fascist you save a lot of imnocent lives.

@unruly πŸ€£πŸ‘ πŸ’―
@VeroniqueB99
not making or accusing anyone of spreading bad info.. but I hope to f this is true. cos fk insurance companies.
@VeroniqueB99 so he literally diverted the trolley
@rockpick πŸ‘ πŸ’―
@VeroniqueB99 You have to pay for a tumour in the US? Here in Europe cancer patients get them for free. They're usually even trying to get rid of them as quickly as possible.

@steeph @VeroniqueB99 No, no, you misunderstand. In America, *curing* tumours is a for-profit business.

Yeah, revolting, isn't it?

@steeph ...In the US you have to pay for EVERYHING.

@steeph @VeroniqueB99 Here they'll come after your family after one dies because medical bills Will Be Paid In Full.

Took me two years to settle my mom's estate.

@drwho

nooooooo!! 😱 I didn't know that!!

@steeph

@VeroniqueB99 @steeph Had to sell the house and everything to cover the bills, because as next of kin I was on the hook.

@drwho

That's insane!!😭

@steeph

@VeroniqueB99 This is not the first such story I've come across. Again, nothing I can confirm, but I think more than a few lives were saved that those companies would have happily let die. It is an ethical quandary... or maybe it isn't.
@VeroniqueB99 I wish I could remember the details but Blue Cross Blue Shield had announced that they were going to stop covering something that people were really upset about. After Luigi was arrested they promptly changed their minds.
@maggiejk πŸ‘ there was a few examples like that I remember too.

@VeroniqueB99

One problem here - a single instance does not give us enough data to draw solid conclusions. We really should gather more data... strictly in pursuit of scientific rigor, of course.

@rowens 🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣🀣 of course.
