People will be running from the shame of supporting this the rest of their lives.

While this is irredeemably horrible because the number should be 0, it's also a good example for improving statistics literacy:
The age structure of the Gaza strip in 2023 (according to the CIA World Fact Book) was ~44.1% under 14 years old.
Assuming random distribution within that range, that's ~2.9% per 1-year age group (15 groups including 0, for those mathing along).
2.9% of 1000 pages gives us an expected 29 pages of 0-year-olds, and 145 pages expected under 5.

In other words, these numbers show indiscrimnate killing of everyone, rather than a specific targeting of children.

They're still murdering tons of kids, of course, but we already knew that.

"It's ok to drop bombs on pupils in schools. Nerds will work the numbers to show that we don't specifically target children."

@australopithecus
Or, in other word: genocide.

What you've statistically proven, is that this is a genocide.

@JorisMeys @babadookspinoza
Well... On the one hand, it's not really being proven here specifically; this just shows the distribution of killings, not the extent of it. Very probably proof of war crimes (indiscriminate killing of civilians), but not necessarily of genocide specifically.
On the other hand, anyone still denying the basic fact that a genocide is happening here either isn't paying attention or isn't engaging in good faith. There's plenty of other proof of that.

@australopithecus my deepest apologies, you are right. Ofcourse we've just shown indiscriminate killing of Gazans by the tens of thousands. In no way does that prove genocide specifically. Thank you for bringing focus to this very important matter.
