Well, the weather turned fast. The forecast was clear skies all night for us, but at about 7PM it started getting overcast, windy, and the temperature must have dropped 10C in the space of an hour.
We did get to the #allotment … got Thai Basils planted amongst the chillies in the greenhouse, one side-row of the polytunnel planted (rocoto chillies, cape gooseberries, and capsicums), I got the other long side laid out, and also got the tomato layout worked out and measured up… then dug the tomato holes with the post-hole digger (not quite no-dig lol). Nice deep holes. The holes got a general spread of a handful of blood'n'bone each and a fill with water. Tomatoes probably to be planted tomorrow as we need to make up new tomato strings as our old ones are disintegrating into a billion microplastics. (About 4 years old I think, we're replacing with the same plastic "string" as we have a big roll of it… but once that is gone I'll try and find a non-plastic option I guess, in 4 years lol.)
