Those of you with terminal and plain text first workflows, how did you handle academia? I'm imagining a mix of git, pandoc, and vimwiki or org-mode.

Is there a good article on how to setup such a workflow? Any pitfalls?

@profoundlynerdy #emacs, #orgmode, #orgroam and for the bibliography #zotero . All papers were in git tracked project directories, with a project file for tasks like "get that book" " read that book" or "rewrite that passage". Text got exported via org export and manually edited for the final draft.
@apublicimage How do you Zotero to collaborate? (Or do you just give them your info and use their online thing?) I need to work with someone who uses Zotero (the software), but I can't figure out how to do it without giving Zotero (the company) my info.
@elb I didn't use the online version and I didn't collaborate. I used it only as a library and an importer, and exported the entries to bibtex.
