What do you call the genre that is about people being in love? It's not romance, because that's invariably the cheesy kind and focuses too much on sex and standard relationship models. Any suggestions? #writing#books
@AverageDog I disagree. It is romance! Don‘t let them take your words from you. Just because some trite smut seems to define a genre (does it really?), you should not be afraid to reclaim and possibly reinvent it.
@bitnacht While I agree, I also suspect that I don't have the reach to reinvent a genre. I've sifted through a romance section in a bookstore recently and haven't seen anything remotely similar.
