@statsguy tech bro social media harms everyone, not just kids.
Just putting off their exposure until a threshold (Burnham - 16?) when they would suddenly get it full blast isn't the answer. And of course many of them will find ways for gaming their way round any guardrails anyway.
Time to clean it up for all of us of whatever age eg through making the companies involved actually do proper moderation and making them get rid of their engagement-based algorithms that suck users into black holes.
Meanwhile I will completely avoid commercial social media and stick to the #Fediverse.
