This isn't new. If you register outside a party primary, you can't vote.

If you want an INDEPENDENT PRIMARY, fix your laws to open the primary but don't complain because you can't decide what party you support.

At this point in US history, US Republicans have exposed themselves completely BECAUSE they can't HIDE behind "independent" or "libertarian" votes.
