@carolannie quite a variety of birds around right now, Merlin keeps telling me there’s a yellow breasted chat but I’ve not seen it, have never seen one. And today a sora I never saw.
@GPJohnston it told me there was a sora here too? It seems unlikely, even though we aren't far from a marshy spot, so I get unexpected waterbirds on Merlin
@carolannie They’re not as common as rails but we have seen soras a few times on Juanita Bay, in the same wet habitats.
@GPJohnston i guess I should go back there, but it's a steep climb down into an unimproved ravine trail with lotsa weeds, a challenge for my knees
