It was certainly time to remove my contact lenses, after a few weeks of wearing them.
I'm very near-sighted. My natural vision is great for reading, and things like making models, or detailed miniature mechanical/electronic repairs.
My preferred daily vision solution is contact lenses to achieve best distance vision, with reading glasses on hand. Works very well for me: I can see clearly when I wake up, to drive, etc.

Today I decided to remove my lenses when my right eye started itching. The right lense was very hard to remove, like it was glued to my eyeball. Haven't encountered that before.
When I finally got it out, there were tiny bits of lint underneath the lense. They were fine yesterday? I need to do a better job keeping the house clean and dust free, I think.
I always let my eyeballs rest a couple days after switching back to glasses, before putting the lenses back in.
