What's the correct place to get *bulk* #METAR/TAF data these days? I know about tgftp.nws.noaa.gov for individual reports, but I need to pull the whole set hourly for a project and doing it piecemeal like that seems really inefficient.

Used to be able to get it from aviationweather.gov but that's been gone for awhile now. Anyone have suggestions?

Edit: to be clear, I'm looking for worldwide data, not just US.

@PurpleJillybeans Assume you don't have a budget? My notes indicate we used Speedwell as a broker for Metar and other data (5 years ago).

We did lots of scripting and crawling of BoM/NOAA data sets but I didn't have any projects that worked with it. I can reach out to old coworkers to confirm/deny how they sourced it if it'd help
