#askfedi #duckduckfediguuuuuys, am in need of some opinions on how y'all prefer to read about someone's original characters. am very new to social networks and 'tis all confusing so i decided to just plain ask lol. am interested to hear from both creators and those who follow people. how do you present your original characters? or if you just follow and watch, which way is more comfy for u? bc am no sure really, if i need to put lots of text under artworks about my OCs or if i better put text on the artworks as in concept art or smthn?? i've never presented my characters before but it seems people do enjoy others' characters and i do too, so i decided to start showing my silly kids too but bumped into this quest where i've no idea in which way to do it lol. any feedback appreciated!! fr need help to figure out such social stuff, sorry 🥲
Once again I have selected everything, clicked on the right layer, and I can't get anything to work in #GIMP
And I can't remember how I fixed it last time
Maybe I just minimized and brought it back?
edit: partly solved

what are folks using to compile their DECTalk user dictionaries? i really don't want to have to set up the whole build environment on Windows just to compile a proonunciation dictionary for #NVDA, but I don't want to use NVDA's dictionaries for DECTalk because i don't want to have to keep toggling phonemic input in the dict entries.
does anyone know a good place to get an iMac G3 repaired in #Seattle? i think there’s an issue with the flyback and I do NOT want to risk having 30,000 volts through my body
