A city council in TX voted 3–2 to terminate their Flock contract.

One of the Flock fanboys went on a rant about cries of fascism being rhetoric.

He then proposed a “total ban on all cellular and GPS-capable devices for all operations within city limits” so they can “take Bandera back to 1880 properly.” 👀

@markwyner @404mediaco I mean, if you’re gonna be a nutter, go full-arse.

@octothorpe

😂 Dude is def full-arse nutter. I love the irony. He thinks he’s clever, but he’s simply afraid of the dark.

@404mediaco

@markwyner Excellent -- we're looking into making sure we stay an anti-Flock town. Thanks for the link.

@jessamyn yes! I wish we were a Flock-free city. At least I know where they’re located. I’m not saying I’ve disabled some. But I’m also not saying I haven’t. 😉

Classic all-or-nothing thinking. 'Well if you don't like this (clearly easily missed by evil if not explicitly designed for evil) tool, you must not like any technology!'

I can't tell if the people saying it actually believe any of their nonsense or if they just know enough people won't see through their simple fallacies to be effective.

@FantasticalEconomics

Def. I get a sense he was trying to be facetious or ironic. But he should try being a better human.

"And yet you participate in technology.
Curious!"
