A neighbor gave me a few raspberry cuttings with little roots 2-3 days ago. The strongest-looking still looks unhappy 😞

It's roots aren't strong/big enough to bring up water as fast as the leaves are loosing it. If you can cover it with a polythene bag for a couple of days, and put it somewhere out of direct sunlight, it'll have a good chance of recovering

@datatherapist This is happening right now to my dug up raspberry starts as well. The smaller ones often do better. Like someone else said it's just the ratio of roots to leaves. I've heard it said of houseplants that if you actually remove some leaves, the start will recover better because then the roots can fully supply the remaining leaves. I don't know if that works in raspberries.
