I switched to Kagi last year and it's pretty great.

@jsnell do you still use Safari on iPhone? How do you deal with it not natively supporting Kagi in the search field?

@BenRiceM @jsnell They have a Safari extension that redirects from another search provider. Except that that it wasn’t reliable for me. That’s the major reason I stopped using Kagi.

Hoping @jsnell a better approach…

@david @BenRiceM @jsnell Exactly this is working very reliably for me. Have you tried contacting their support?
@BenRiceM Not that I’m Jason but you can use the “Keyword Search” extension, set up Kagi as a custom entry, and set it as default search. Works transparently for me in Safari on Mac, iPhone and iPad.
@BenRiceM “Transparently” here meaning I set it up years ago and just had to look up how I did it because I never had to think about it again.
@BenRiceM This should have been “Keyword Search”. Let’s blame auto correct.
@BenRiceM @jsnell Quiche browser is my default on iPhone as it lets me choose Kagi.
I use the xSearch app to get Safari to use Kagi.
@pauls @jsnell Not looking to move away from Safari, but I appreciate the recommendation
@BenRiceM @jsnell xSearch should do the job
@pauls @BenRiceM or literally the Kagi extension
@BenRiceM @jsnell Quiche Browser has native Kagi support if Safari isn’t a hard requirement. I was nervous switching from Safari, but have been very pleased
@stephen_thomas @BenRiceM @jsnell I didn't like Quiche but I found Orion is good enough.

@BenRiceM @jsnell this one works well, supports any search URL. I don’t use Kagi but I use it to redirect to the “web” view of Google results (10 blue links mode)
