Do you have a Ph.D. (or are close to getting one) in Computer Science (or a related field), and interested in a permanent position at a German university? The duties are mainly teaching (most students study civil engineering, so it might be a bit of a “culture shock”) and system administration.
The position is based in the Ruhr area (Essen) and requires a high level of on-site presence, as well as a willingness to learn German. Pay is in accordance with the collective agreement TV-L, group 13 (starting salary of ~58–62k€/year, translating into ~3000€/month for a single person after taxes, health insurance, and pension; current final salary after all experience levels is ~82k€/year). You won't get rich, but you'll be able to live a decent life, and the pay is high enough that immigration over a blue card can be an option for non-EU citizens.
I can try to answer your questions.
