Question of the day - #Obsidian #PKM #productivity

How do you handle notes that don't seem to fit anywhere in your system?

i used to worry about these kinda of things. now, i just either:
- Link them to the daily note on the day i created it
- tag it appropriately
- do nothing

and i am still alive!

@sergio_101 I usually drop them in the daily note.

Writing things down somewhere is how I get from "ugh, a thought" to a calm "do nothing."

This brings up an interesting point. I used to really worrry about this. now, i just throw stuff in there, and hope for the best.

@sergio_101
Make a habit of revisiting those notes later, like in GTD
@sergio_101
I tag them with whatever comes to my mind
A daily note simply
@SanskritFritz @sergio_101 yup. Your system works for you, you don't work for your system.
@Colman This is something I fight every day :-D
@sergio_101 A "Reference" folder, like Allen's GTD system

@sergio_101 my system: I have a set of folders, organized by topic, and an index note that links to the topic index notes inside each folder. Those topic indexes link to the notes in each folder, and for some topics when relevant, I use subfolders with a similar structure.

When I have something that doesn't fit, I usually add a new folder or subfolder to put it in. Usually if I do this, I'll move some other notes into this folder as feels appropriate.

I also have a notepad in the root folder where I put links or small notes I'm not ready to categorize. I'll come back to this regularly and either delete or categorize things.
