I was diagnosed with endometriosis in my late 30s.
I was diagnosed with adenomyosis post-hyterectomy in my late 40s, although my new consultant suspected it when he scheduled the surgery.

The original gynae consultant discharged me after endo treatment. When I protested I was still in pain, his message was "there is nothing physically wrong with you", with heavy emphasis on the physically.

Yet if he'd read my older notes, there was information about the risk following a botched D&C in my 20s.

So much wasted time, so many years of pain. I'd do overtime at work to build up flexi-leave so I could take at least 2 days off every cycle.
