@FreeBSDFoundation also the new site looks like generic silicon-valley adjacent product. https://www.freebsd.org/images/beastie-right.svg is so hecking uncanny

@pj @FreeBSDFoundation that’s the Classic, it’s great. but it loads an svg in the footer now, which looks completely out of place

Yeah the new design looks terrible, given that old one presented same information and used free space better: https://web.archive.org/web/20251223060941/https://www.freebsd.org/
The only positive thing about new design is that it's responsive and mobile friendly (unless I'm mistaken and archive.org fucks with the CSS and breaks it)

@pj @FreeBSDFoundation it’s not like making the old site responsive was impossible, <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width,initial-scale=1.0"> and a handful of @media css rules goes a long way

Definitely, it needed a tiny bit of love to make it better but lol no, it's better to yeet it all out
