CIS PEOPLE TIME TO STEP UP

it’s once again time to yell at our bad government via online comment form

the FCC is trying to make trans and nonbinary content require special ratings on shows

GLAAD has a good writeup on it here:

@tillybridges I have no qualms about hating my government for its bigotry against trans and nonbinary people! And I cannot wait to let the FCC know it! Thanks for posting this!
@tillybridges done, thank you for raising awareness.

@tillybridges

Thank you so much for the toot. I quote boosted I hope that's okay. I can delete it if it's not. Thank you

@tillybridges what if governments went back to just leaving people alone?
@tillybridges the form asks that we specify the proceeding--is there a number to fill in?

@tillybridges it's wild that there is an entire Christian media ecosystem for MAGA parents to culturally indoctrinate their children, but that's not enough.

They want regressive values on every screen.

@tillybridges which country?

@NatureMC FCC would imply The United Shithole of America...

@tillybridges

@ShredderFeeder Thanks!

(Well, the rest of the world doesn't know automatically what FCC is. 😎)

@tillybridges

@tillybridges So... They do want trigger warnings now? I can't keep up with this stuff any more.
@tillybridges Submitted. Thanks for sharing the link.

@tillybridges

and you know what comes after "Trans and Non-Binary" warnings ...

@tillybridges The direct comment link you included doesn’t fill the Proceedings field (the GLAAD one does), which it isn’t clear what to input. Secondly the field for email says optional but it is required, so privacy minded folk have to provide that.

Anyways, comment added.

@tillybridges @lyonsinbeta The link in the root does not pre-populate the proceeding number: 19-41

The link on the GLAAD page does.

@DataAngler
Thank you, I was having trouble finding that info.
@tillybridges @lyonsinbeta
@tillybridges One of the questions they ask is whether programming rated as appropriate for children should be allowed to include trans and nonbinary content. I knew I was nonbinary when I was still in preschool. It can happen that young. We need information about ourselves even at that age. Everyone, please specifically comment that trans and nonbinary content is appropriate even for the youngest ages.
@tillybridges Hello beautiful online people. I just left a comment from my hospital bed. Your help could go a long way to slow down this very bad idea.
