Apparently some of the trouble makers are trying to sell us "reconciliation" and "healing" that turns out to be good old "letting the fascists get away with it, again." Looking at you, Jared Polis.
I'm calm, I'm serene, I have my wits about me, and I want trials for every one of the fascists and their collaborators.
I am not a pro-reconciliation person, more of a pick-your-battles-and-stay-on-target kind of person in this moment. We can't gain the power needed to mete out well-deserved and long-delayed justice if we allow ourselves to descend into major fights with our pro-democracy side right now.
Polis is a coward who can't be counted on in the fight.
Got it. Moving on to win the mid-terms.
They can be useful with their heads attached.
At trial, we can create an undeniable record of the fascists' crimes, as a defense against future denialists. And fascists in prison getting old and weak can counter the fascist "strongman" narrative.
Well I do think now that we are at war in Iran all these traitors have opened themselves up to actual charges of treason.... so yes, we will stick with the rule of law when meting out justice. And oh look! The Trump regime has conveniently added firing squad to our completely legal list of options once convicted.
How thoughtful of them.
