I am one of those visitors who is perpetually short on time, but willing to jam as much as possible into my travels. THANK YOU to places like the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City (hat tip to their marketing genius Seth Spillman) for doing the hard work of curating and boiling things down for me in a helpful guide like this one.

Just get me in there; I will come back!

@TourismCurrents Oh my god this needs to be more of A Thing, particularly along Route 66 and the Ozarks.

Like, I get the regional tendency for locals to treat museums as an all-day time sink to avoid air conditioning the house but like, we also got a lot (less after Trump killed EU tourism here) of people who are like "this won't hold my interest all day/this is just a stop in a bigger journey".

Ironically the Route 66 museums tend to be the ones that need the "one hour summary tour" the most.

@BalooUriza @TourismCurrents
That looks like a pretty good museum. I could spend a lot more than an hour in there.

One thing that jumped out at me was this image on their website.

@captainbara Furries, in *my* Oklahoma?

It's more likely than you think.

@BalooUriza
Those are mascots. Do they really count?
@captainbara They're anthro animals, so, yeah!
