@zachsimone the Sports Mate apps (Union Live, Footy Live etc) used to be so good. But they’ve fallen into disrepair and been gummed up with gross ads
@colourfool Absolutely, I loved those apps! Their fall from grace is so disappointing. New this year: a tab bar that overlaps with the home indicator. I think they've just stopped caring.
If they fixed the UI paper cuts, added Live Activities, and offered a paid version that removed ads + gambling sponsorships they could be good again.
It wouldn't be easy to compete with them directly either as they still have the best stats data, which is prohibitively expensive for a newcomer to licence.
@zachsimone they have this cell reuse bug that affects all their apps and has been there for like a decade. I’ve emailed them about it, and they even replied to thank me. But they’ve never fixed it.
